Commerce Doesn't Mar Orleans' Natural Beauty

Orleans is the commercial hub of the Outer Cape area, the place where you can get the most shopping stuff done in the shortest amount of time. Then you can restore your spirit at the always-hopping Land Ho! restaurant and bar. But beyond the vibrant Main Street and the chain stores, the town offers a heaping helping of natural beauty. Orleans is home to awesome Nauset Beach, where the waves are big, and the onion rings at Liam’s are beyond delicious. The very pleasant Pleasant Bay also offers a nicely protected saltwater swath for sailors, kayakers and rowers.

Orleans has a few apartment complexes, something you don’t see a lot of on the Outer Cape. East Orleans is a museum piece of a village with plenty of great old houses. And there are lots of quite neighborhoods that offer quick access to a beach or town landing.

Orleans is home to just over 6,000 residents, all of whom could fit on the vast low-tide sand flats at Skaket Beach.
